Commissioning Specifics
The following is a general list of things to consider while composing a commission request.
What media do you want to have used to color your image? Taditional (pen & ink, watercolor, acrylics, pastel, etc..) or computer colored?
How large do you want the work to be?
Do you want the original, a print, or just an image file?
When do you need the image completed?
For what purspose do you intend to use the image?
How much would you like to spend on the work?
The basics are as follows:
What is your character's name?
What gaming system is your character from?
What's their background? Have they had a bad childhood? Did they have a childhood? Are they good/evil?
What is their race? (Please do not assume that I play the game -- I don't
RP at all -- so be very detailed and, if possible, show examples.)
What are their characteristics? (i.e.: height, weight, hair color, eye color, skin color) Do they look like a celebrity or someone in particular?
Do they have any unique abilities, disablities, scars, tattoos, weapons, powers, etc.?
What type of clothing or armor do they wear?
Is there a certain pose you'd like to see them in?
Any other thing you might think it important for me to know before drawing your character.
Go by the basic portraiture guidelines for all the characters involved but also give a description of what is happening in the scene.
What's happening?
What time of day and season is it occurring in?
Where is the scene happening? Describe with detail.
Who's doing what?
What emotion/feeling should the scene evoke?
